For more than 40 years CHETRA represents highest safety, competence and individuality.
The field of activity extends from Germany to over 50 countries. Our customers are supported worldwide by 7 factory offices and 40 representatives. For maintenance and repair of the mechanical seals we provide 6 seal service centers.
CHETRA is certified according to DIN EN ISO 9001.
From an engineering office in Munich to a global sealing partner, CHETRA's story spans over 40 years of precision and progress.
Foundation
CHETRA GmbH founded by Dipl.-Ing. (FH) Hans J. Rabl in Munich. Sealing technology products were engineered in-house and manufactured externally. Focus areas: mechanical seals, packings, and maintenance products.
Joint Venture Hungary
CHETRA-Budapest Kft established in Budapest to support market expansion in Eastern Europe.
Market & Industry Specialization
Started production of mechanical seals and packings in Garching (near Munich), with a shift toward customer-specific high-quality solutions.
API Mechanical Seals
Development of API mechanical seals through close collaboration with a German refinery, a petrochemical plant, and an OEM for pipeline pumps.
Expansion to Singapore
CHETRA Sealing Technology Pte. Ltd. founded in Singapore to strengthen presence in the Asia-Pacific region.
Middle East Expansion
Increased activity in the Middle East & Far East led to broader adoption of CHETRA seals in Oil & Gas, including pipeline, MOL, and water-injection pumps.
Expansion to India
CHETRA Mechanical Seals India Pvt. Ltd. was founded in Mumbai to serve the Indian market directly.
New Headquarters
CHETRA GmbH moved into its newly built headquarters while remaining in the Munich area.
Formation of Stock Corporation
CHETRA changed its legal form to a public limited company: CHETRA Sealing Technology AG.

For CHETRA Dichtungstechnik AG and its employees
This Code of Conduct defines the fundamental principles and guidelines that govern ethical behavior at CHETRA Dichtungstechnik AG. It serves as a framework for all employees to conduct business with integrity and responsibility.
All employees are required to comply with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies in all countries where CHETRA operates. This includes but is not limited to trade laws, export controls, and local business regulations.
All employees must avoid situations in which their personal or financial interests conflict with those of CHETRA. For that reason, among other things, they are forbidden from making investments in CHETRA's competitors, suppliers or customers, or from entering into business relationships with them privately, where this could lead to a conflict of interests.
CHETRA has a zero-tolerance policy towards corruption and bribery. Employees must not offer, promise, give, or accept any improper payments or benefits to influence business decisions or gain unfair advantages.
CHETRA is committed to providing a workplace free from discrimination and harassment. All employees must treat colleagues, customers, and partners with respect and dignity, regardless of their background.
